European Oak

European Hardwood FloorEuropean oak hardwood flooring is very popular because it varies in colour from light tan to pale yellow-brown with a pinkish tinge. 

Carefully selected from sustainable managed forests in Europe, our finest solid European oak adds elegance and character to any interior and is incredibly durable and long-lasting.

We supply all our oak flooring unfinished for an authentic real wood look and feel.  This gives you complete control over the finish you wish to apply to your floor, and with correct installation will last the lifetime of the building.

Oak Flooring Products

We specialise in Solid European Oak Planks.  The wood is all kiln-dried European white Oak, Tongue and Grooved on all 4 sides with stress grooves underneath.  Rustic grade contains random knots up tp 40mm, pre-filled and sanded.  Character grade has fewer,smaller knots up to approx.25mm,and  Prime grade has no knots. Prime grade is available to special order from £36.00+Vat per Metre Sq.

The planks have a micro-bevel for easy installation and require minimal sanding, as opposed to square edge boards that need several passes with a large flooring sander.

Your solid oak planks are supplied shrink-wrapped in packs of 5 boards.

What thickness do I need?

14mm thick planks are very light and are the most suitable for domestic installation.  They need to be laid on an existing sub-floor.

20mm thick planks are industry standard and can be used as the structural floor.

Which lengths will i need?

Oak FlooringMost orders are made up of various lengths.  Normally we supply our customers with 40% short boards, 40% medium boards and 20% long boards, in order to create a balanced look in the finished floor. 

We can also supply longer boards for a premium if you require, but remember that you will probably end up cutting them!

We also supply all the finishes and adhesives you require for your finished solid oak floor.  We also stock Oak blocks for parquet floors.
